Antico Ulivo

Antico Ulivo

Feel at home in beautiful surroundings

Nestled amongst the centuries old, lush olive and carob trees of this charming part of Puglia, a few minutes from the crystal clear sea by Monopoli, stands “l’Antico Ulivo” (the ancient olive tree).

Staying in this accommodation you can enjoy all the sights and attractions of one of the most captivating tourist areas in the region, located just a few kilometres from Alberobello, Castellana Grotte, Ostuni, Polignano a Mare, and other tourist destinations.

At the Antico Ulivo you will find the right relaxing balance between a welcoming family atmosphere and the amenities of a comfortable villa thought out in every tiny detail. The original body of the accommodation was built in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. To reveal this ancient part of the building to us, now renamed “the barn”, to which have been added other important spaces over the years, is the living rock that in this region has so much more to recount, and that gave us this heritage composed of dry stone walls, “masserie” (farms) and “specchie” (ancient trulli which have collapsed).

With its walls decorated with a mixture of stone, bricks and the typical local whitewash, the property features two elegant rooms, discreet, well-lit and furnished with care. To make your stay even more comfortable, a swimming pool, an outdoor hot tub and a kitchen area for those who prefer the liberty of eating in.

A real haven of tranquillity, surrounded by the Mediterranean scrub and imbued with the typical scents of the “contradas” (little districts in the countryside) of the Monopoli area. Situated in Contrada Peroscia, the Antico Ulivo is really the arrival point for those who want to enjoy the genuine atmosphere of Puglia, but also the ideal starting point for a tour of the most beautiful villages and towns in the Bari territory and of the Itria Valley.

It is one of those places for those who deeply love Nature and wish to enjoy an enchanting atmosphere, and where you can count on the friendliness and helpfulness of the owners who place great importance on one of the most significant values of the South, namely hospitality.
